Lo Tsavo East National Park è uno dei parchi più antichi e grandi del Kenya a 13.747 chilometri quadrati. Situato in una zona semi-arida precedentemente nota come Deserto del Taru, è stata aperta nell'aprile del 1948 e si trova vicino alla città di Voi, nella contea di Taita-Taveta, nell'ex provincia costiera. Il parco è diviso in sezioni est e ovest dalla strada A109 e da una ferrovia. Chiamato per il fiume Tsavo, che scorre da ovest a est attraverso il parco nazionale, confina con il Chyulu Hills National Park e la Mkomazi Game Reserve in Tanzania

All'interno del Tsavo East National Park, i fiumi Athi e Tsavo convergono per formare il fiume Galana. Gran parte del parco è costituito da praterie semi-aride e savana. È considerata una delle roccaforti della biodiversità del mondo e la sua popolarità è principalmente dovuta alle enormi quantità di diverse specie selvatiche che possono essere viste, tra cui i famosi 'big five' costituiti da leone, rinoceronte nero, bufalo del capo, elefante e leopardo

Itinerary

DAY ONE (1)

We will visit the largest park in Kenya: Tsavo East. Inside the park, there are large groups of red elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, buffaloes. On the banks of the Galana river you can see hippos and large crocodiles lunch, dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp

DAY TWO (2)

After breakfast, we venture into the private reserve of Taita Hills. Among the rolling hills of Africa a private reserve where you can, if you wish, go on a night safari! The reserve, thanks to its position, is a particular eco-system. For its particular fauna and flora it is also called "the small Serengeti". Here you can see brandi herds of elephants that drink just a few meters from you, lions with thick mane, giraffes, zebras, elands Taita Hill, is a unique place in all of Kenya. DAY THREE (3)

Early morning departure to go to the Tsavo West park. Arriving at the park we will immediately start the game drive. Here, in the Chyulu hills, you can see the stealthy leopard! The landscape of Tsavo West, contains spectacular habitats: rain forests, mountains, lakes and vast plains. After the rainy season the acacias are covered with large white flowers, which stand out among secular baobabs. At Tsavo West, you can see the black rhinoceros, hidden in bush bushes. We will visit the famous Mzima Spring, going on foot to the crystal clear waters of the springs, rich in hippos and crocodiles. DAY FOUR (4)

After breakfast, departure for the last game drive, in search of savannah animals! Leaving the park, we head towards your village. Stop for lunch, then continue through the green coconut plantations of Kaloleni, among true African villages
